Article XII – The Church is the Body not the Bride of Christ

We believe that the Church, in identity, is the Body not the Bride of Christ.¹   In identity, New Jerusalem is the Bride of Christ^.2   In relationship, however, the Church is to be obedient to Christ as a bride is to be obedient to her own husband.³
